Donkeys

  • Close-up of a young donkey with a brown and gray coat, standing outdoors near a fenced area.

    Ollie

Ollie is our only miniature Donkey. He is puppy dog gentle with a deep spirit of gratitude as he was rescued from a kill pen. He loves to eat, frolic around the ranch, and hang out with his goat and cow friends. He is always eager for a good rump scratch, and if you brush him, he just might fall asleep standing up!

  • Close-up of a brown horse's face with its nose pressed against a metal fence in a barn with other horses in the background.

    Michael

Michael is one special fella! He is a minature stallion and has been through some pretty terrible times in his past.. He has a damage left eye and is blind in that eye, but that doesn’t stop him! Because he was abused he used to think the only way was to charge. He has since learned what love is and is now gentle and curious. He does have a tendency to nibble so we have to watch him as he explores for potential treats! Micheal is a treasure!

  • Close-up of a horse's face, showing its large nose and dark eyes, with a piece of straw hanging from its mouth, in a fenced outdoor area.

    CJ

CJ is a mammoth donkey, which means she is the largest of the donkey breeds. However, she is also one of the gentlest on our ranch. She is very bonded to Barbie and Emmie Kate, as they all came from a rescue ranch together. CJ is loyal, patient, and tender. She has no idea how big she is because she is kind as a little lamb. She makes us smile every day!

  • Close-up of a donkey's face with large ears, brown fur, and a white muzzle, in a farm setting with a fence and other animals in the background.

    Barbie

Barbie is mama to Emmie Kate and our shyest donkey at the ranch. She has a story to tell in her eyes so we have given her patience and love while she learns to trust again. She is fiercely loyal to her baby girl and CJ. She is an observer and a reader of people. Once she decides you’re safe, she grants permission to enter her space. She has been hurt. She will never hurt again!

  • Emmie Kate

    Emmie Kate

Emmie Kate is Barbie’s little girl. She is joyful and playful and thinks allllll the attention belongs to her! She loves a good scratch and is forever looking for snacks! She is youthful and fun and makes it hard to say ever say no!

Cattle

  • Close-up of a brown and white cow with curly white hair on its face, standing outdoors near a metal fence.

    Ana

Ana is one of our two mama cows. She is a registered Mini Hereford who loves her babies and her feed. She is the best mom to Willow and now Cotton, our newest calf to the ranch. She takes her days slow, loves a hiney rub, and leans in for some good hugs!

  • Close-up of a white and black cow outdoors with a blurred green forest background.

    Charlie

Charlie is the man of the herd! He is a Miniature Highlander and is the sweetest bull you will ever meet. He has a gentle soul and tender eyes. He walks slow and sleeps a lot, until the feed comes out, then Charlie can MOVE!

  • A close-up of a young white calf with darker patches near its ears, standing behind a metal fence with green grass in the background.

    Cotton

Cotton is the newest calf to join the ranch. She gets her name from her fluffy hair that looks like cotton in full bloom. She takes after her dad in her good looks, but definitely has her mama’s charm. She sleeps, eats, and does the best "zoomies" in between. She is pure joy!

  • Close-up of a young cow with a white face and brown body, showing a tag with the number 291, outdoors with a blurred grassy background.

    Puddin

Puddin is our only other male of the little heard. He is a steer now and he didn’t appreciate that one bit! He is rambunctious and loyal all mixed into one. He loves his mama, but he loves his Pal Willow too. He is not a huge fan of the halter, and tends to stand still and refuse to walk at times. Can you say stubborn?

  • Close-up of a cow with white face and cover and brown body standing on grassland

    Sophie

Sophie is our second mama cow. She is also a registered Mini Hereford and has the cutest short legs you have ever seen. She is a little more feisty in nature letting others know she is small but mighty. She is mama to Puddin, who was born in December, and it was a sad day for them when he was weaned. They cried for each other. They have both moved on and she is going to be giving us a new babe sometime in the spring!

  • Close-up of a young calf with a white face and brown body standing on a farm.

    Willow

Willow was our first calf to join the ranch. She is spunky and sassy, but also kind and gentle. She loves a good behind the ear rub, loves her hay, and hanging with her best bud Puddin. She isn’t sure what to think about her mom having a new calf, but she is taking it in stride!
